Dear Dr. Wen:
CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems invited Prof. Guoping Chen(Email: chen-guoping@sgcc.com.cn) from State Grid Corporation of China and Dr. Yixin NI (Email: yxni@csee.org.cn) from Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering as our Guest Editors-in-Chief to organize this special issue on System Performance of Complex Interconnected AC/DC Power Systems With High Penetration of Renewable Resources. Please find the content of Call for papers below. Your submissions are welcomed!
With the rapid development of HVDC transmissions, FACTs devices and renewable resources, a large amount of power sources and loads integrate into the grid via power electronic interfaces, the proportion of which has significantly increased recently. On one hand, the general characteristics of power systems have undergone remarkable changes caused by the large scale presence of HVDC transmission circuits and renewable sources. On the other hand, this change in characteristics has had a massive impact on the operation of power electronic devices.
To tackle the problems and challenges brought about by the large scale integration of power electronics and renewable energy, the theory, analytical methods, solutions for the power system security and stability operation should be re-examined and analyzed. New approaches and innovative products should be introduced to guarantee system performance and reliability.
Topics of interest of this Special Issue include, but are not limited to the following aspects:
Stability of large scale AC/DC power systems: theory and practice
Planning and operation of large scale AC/DC power systems with multiple DC infeeds and high penetration of renewable resources
Analysis and simulation of power systems with large scale power electronics and renewable sources
Advances in special protection system for frequency and voltage stability
Control and coordination of the renewable resources and conventional power plants
This special issue solicits original work on system performance of complex interconnected AC/DC power systems with high penetration of renewable resources that must not be under consideration for publication in other venues. Abstracts and full papers are solicited for reviews. Authors should refer to the CSEE JPES author guidelines at http://www.csee.org.cn/JPES/ for information about content and formatting of submissions. Authors can download the template at: http://www.csee.org.cn/data/CSEE_JPES/CSEE_TEMPLATE.docx
Submission Format and Guidance:
All submitted papers must be clearly written in excellent English and contain only original work, which has not been published by or is currently under review for any other journal or conference. A detailed submission guideline is available as “Guide to Authors” at: https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/cjpes
All manuscripts and any supplementary material should be submitted via the ScholarOne system of CSEE JPES. The authors must choose the Manuscript Type as “SI: System Performance of Complex Interconnected AC/DC Power Systems With High Penetration of Renewable Resource” in the submission process. The CSEE JEPS website is located at: http://www.csee.org.cn/JPES/
All papers will be peer-reviewed by three independent reviewers. Requests for additional information should be addressed to the guest editors.
